Asian Institute of Technology Centre in Vietnam ( tài xỉu , often known as tài xỉu Vietnam) was established in 1993 upon the request by the Government of Vietnam. tài xỉu became the first and only multi-governmental international training organization in Vietnam at that time, carrying out the mission as an international gateway for technology transfer, supporting the development of Vietnam in particular and the development of Southeast Asia in general through education, training and graduate outreach services.

After a journey of 30 years in Vietnam, tài xỉu is proud to have been contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for Vietnam and the region. Until now, tài xỉu itself and through tài xỉu has successfully trained nearly 4,200 PhDs and Masters, and is continuing to provide training programs taught 100% in English in many fields of Management, Business, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, Project Management, and Smart Cities. In recent years, tài xỉu has also participated in organizing and teaching more than 200 different short courses in 20 trendy areas.

tài xỉu is also a trustworthy address for many international organizations such as SIDA, DANIDA, FINNIDA, UNDP, World Bank as well as joint venture companies, private enterprises and non-government organizations. 

Over the last ten years, tài xỉu has been leading and participating in a number of high impact development projects in the area of sustainable development: Eco-Innovation and SCP mainstreaming (2016-2018), Cleaner production (2010-2012), Sustainable Product Innovation (2014-2017), Sustainable consumption – Get Green Vietnam (2013-2015), Green Lifestyle in offices funded by SWITCH-Asia Program of European Union, in cooperation with Delft University of Technology – the Netherlands (TUD), Vietnam Cleaner Production Centre (VNCPC), Ecosystem Based Adaptation Approach for Sustainable Management and Governance of Coastal Ecosystems (ENGAGE), and the UN Environment. The success of these projects made the tài xỉu well-known as one of the leading institutions in sustainable development advancing in Vietnam.
